The unthinkable happened. It was below 70 degrees in Texas. On time.
DFW was hit with a major cold front this past week, with temps as high as 52! Naturally as a Texan, we don’t start pulling out *light* sweaters until mid-November so this definitely took us for a loop. I’m starting a monthly aesthetics board on my Pinterest page, and the month of November is filled with cozy things that puts you into the fall mood.
If you seen my Instagram stories, then you know how I have been searching for a good oversized sweater. I purchased this at our local Dillard’s outlet for under $20! Not only did I get this for this post, I also included it in my Fall/Winter Lookbook on my channel! In celebration of our ‘bringing out of the sweater’, here are some must haves for the 2017 Fall/Winter Season.
Chunky Knit Sweaters:
A personal favorite. Not only are they comfy, they are great at hiding a full stomach! I like to match these with bottoms that provides a flattering silhouette with some funky shoes to add some pizazz. Take a look at my favorites below!
A more sophisticated sweater. Sweater dresses are the go-to when it comes to staying warm and being fashionable. They are notorious for being a staple office piece, layering it with a mock turtle neck, boots, or a trench coat. Not only are they popular around the office, but they can be dressed down with sneakers and a denim jacket! No matter the occasion, it’s always good to have two or three in your closet. Don’t have any? Pick your favorites below and get to shoppin!
The Cropped Sweater:
I’m not sure how long this trend has been about, but if ya’ll like it I love it! I find the cropped sweater so fun and playful. You could easily match this with overalls, a skater skirt or a nice pair of jeans! I definitely added the ASOS pick into my shopping cart for the season! Which is your favorite?
Saving the best for last. We all love a good sweater, but I think we’ll LOVE a great sweater WITH a twist. From embroidery to bell sleeves, these sweaters below are a great conversation starter as well as a knockout for your next outfit. Are you into the statement sleeve trend? What are some good places to purchase?
